A coffee with…
We regularly publish a “coffee with” one of our clients, to find out about their story and learn from their experiences.
Phil and Annette Howie
This month’s Coffee with is taking us 4,263 km away from Albany – to Maneroo Station, 3 hours south of Darwin, the home of cattle farmers Phil and Annette Howie.
Grace Schlager
Grace Schlager is the Director of Schlager Architects and owner of SA Design Collective, a furniture store and design resource.
Kym Arnold and Caitlin Davidovic sat down with Grace to discuss her journey to success and the benefits of adopting an Architect in our everyday lives.
Keith and Janet Hillam
77 years ago in the small town of Caltowie, near Port Pirie in South Australia when Keith Hillam was in year three, young Janet came to that same school in year one. That was the start of a very special personal and business relationship.
Brooke Pearson
Brooke Pearson runs a small women’s only gym in Albany called Just Move. We sat down with Brooke to find out what makes this wonder woman tick and how she’s made Just Move such a special place to train.
Rob Lovett
This month Rob and Tom both tentatively put on boxing gloves and jumped in the ring with Rob Lovett from Lovett Muay Thai. They discovered how a teenage boy with plenty of energy to burn, initially fell in love with martial arts movies and later became the owner of a successful Muay Thai gym right here in Albany.
Nikki Milne
Pam recently spent an informative and entertaining half hour with Nikki Milne of The Perth Collective via Zoom. Nikki has become an expert in her field and has scaled a successful business, after identifying a niche in PR and Digital Marketing. Today, Nikki owns an online educational school and a successful PR and Marketing Agency.
Lincoln Hands
When Brendan Taylor first invited Lincoln Hands to join him for a Coffee With chat, he chuckled saying, “mine is not an interesting story to tell”. Brendan disagreed. Lincoln was a sheep farmer, owned two pubs, did a large property development, built a vineyard, managed a station, married twice, has four children aged 12 to 34, had swine flu, a double lung transplant and now, at the age of 68, has embarked on a new business venture with his younger kids.
Gary Philpott
We are down to a matter of days now until Gary retires as a Partner of Lincolns on 1 July. Although this is a very exciting time for Gary as he embarks on a new post-partnership life, this is a very emotional time for the entire Lincolns team as well as his clients.
Team Taylah
Maddi Sharpe recently caught up over coffee with Emmalee Crispin (colleague and friend) to talk about being a part of Team Taylah and the phenomenal fundraising journey they’ve been on so far.
Andrew Sharpe
We asked Andrew Sharpe to join us for our Coffee With… series for this month. Along with being an accountant by trade, Andrew is also CEO of the City of Albany. He was generous to take the time out to be interviewed by one of our managers, Phillip Mortimer.
